Customer Helpdesk / Support Officer

The Operations team is a fun group of professionals who support each other, are customer first focused and collaborate to ensure all staff can perform at their best. The company has frequent BBQs onsite where are staff can talk and meet each other. The Operations team is made up of a mix of highly experienced people taking calls to junior staff just out of school. The IPA Group invests in their employees who are supported by Management to develop their skills with a focus on professional development to enable all teams to achieve their best. .

To fit in, you will demonstrate the following:

  • Straight talking demeanour, with a flexible can-do attitude
  • Can take ownership and call things out if something is not working
  • Previous experience supporting VSAT services preferable
  • Supported broadband products before (preferably NBN)
  • Love technology and helping people get the most out of it
  • Good attention to detail and love for process
  • Experience in technical support (desired)
  • Clear and concise communication, active listening and a real interest in our customers
  • Excellent time management skills
  • At least 2-3 years’ experience in a contact centre environment is preferred
  • Experience with ticket and CRM systems will be highly regarded
  • Ability to work within a rostered team with some weekend work

We are seeking someone who has a background in an IT environment with a strong work ethic, is reliable, flexible with their rosters including some weekend work, is a quick learner and has a real passion for negotiating successful outcomes for our customers.

This Customer Helpdesk/and Support role is:

  • Immediate start

Your day will be

  • Adhering to individual targets both monthly and quarterly
  • Handling technical contacts for our retail, wholesale and enterprise customers via tickets, email, online chat and telephone calls
  • Assist sales team with occasional sales contacts and determine needs and sell appropriately
  • Liaise with various teams across the business to share feedback and experience
  • Use our tools for logging customer contacts, keeping staff and customers across progress
  • Provide our valued customers with an excellent customer experience
  • Be part of the team and achieve individual targets and team KPIs while growing and developing internal processes
